The eyes of the entertainment world are on several adult film superstars ready to break into the mainstream, and those eyes are not leering at images on their laptops in the deep dark recesses of their secret hideaways. The entertainment world is taking the leap from adult to mainstream quite seriously.
Take Sasha Grey, for instance.
The hardcore porn queen caused an enormous uproar on HBO’s Entourage a few weeks ago simply by walking across a pool area exposing full frontal nudity … and a rather unshaved public area … in an episode that was entitled “Hair.”
While Vince was off boozing and bumbling, Turtle encountered a woman’s shaved public region, but the debate was kicked off, as the men on the show were left to discuss vaginas, hair on vaginas, and all matters regarding female public grooming. Then came Sasha’s moment.
It was shocking because it’s a place HBO doesn’t go with its mainstream shows, at least not to this degree. But it’s exactly where show runner Doug Ellin has wanted to take his characters. Says the creator of the hit program, “Ever since the beginning, I had the hope that if we got far enough along that I’d get to take them to a darker place.”
While Sasha has clearly broken into the mainstream, other adult superstars are following her lead. Jenna Jameson‘s relationship with UFC Legend Tito Ortiz puts her in the spotlight with the world’s fastest growing sport, while Lisa Ann’s portrayal of Sarah Palin has landed her on every entertainment news show and the latest Eminem video.
Another starlet to watch? UK Bombshell Taylor Wane. She’s been pushing boundaries for longer than she’d probably like to admit, and she certainly has our attention, that’s for sure!
